Appearance: Darechi has darker than average skin with web-like tattoos on both her arms. She keeps her hair tucked under a bandanna day in day out to protect it from humidity and will often put on a hat over top to keep the sun out of her eyes. She has the build of someone used to lifting heavy objects.
Personality: Darechi used to consider herself an adventurous and reckless person, until she bonded Zkaith. She is convinced that the dragon is her penance for being so aggravating as a child and teenager. Though not a patient person, she does her best to keep from getting angry at her beloved green. Truth be told, she just wishes Zkaith would collaborate with her on more of her experiments!
Past: Darechi had a pretty hard life those first few years, but it was nevertheless a happy one, as she has a large and rambunctious family who all care for each other very much. They lived in a small Hold and farmed the land for a living, though they were near enough to the coast that they also participated in some fishing. Darechi and her sisters were expected to work just as hard as their brothers, and it still shows in her physique and personality.
Darechi herself was a bit of a wild child--friendly and outgoing, but also adventurous and reckless. She got into more than one stunt over the years that could have wound up with either her or somebody else dead, though she was lucky enough to come out unscathed each time. She grew out of it slightly as she got older, but it wasn't until she was searched and Impressed Zkaith that she really started to mature. As if the normal rigors of raising a young dragon was not enough, Zkaith has a passion for time-consuming and dangerous activities that have finally made Darechi empathize with her own mother. Shortly after they completed Weyrling training, they left their home Weyr and wound up at Sedona Weyr.

Personality: Zkaith is a well-rounded dragon with a variety of interests. Unfortunately for Darechi, most of these interests are time consuming, delicate and dangerous. She tends to run off and get involved in some day- or week-long experiment with the disclaimer that she cannot be disturbed until she is done, leaving Darechi to fend for herself quite often. She is unapologetic about these absences, insisting that it was for the good of science.
