| Name: Disenchandra Race:
Hydra, Two-Headed Gender: Female Color: Black-Blue Abilities: Verbal
Speech, Teleportation, Icy Air Breath Weapon, Supernatural Physical Strength,
Disruptive Touch Personality: Hers is a petty sort of evil. She repays
anyone who offends her tenfold, even for the littlest offense and even if they
didn't realize they had done so. She gets irate if she doesn't have her way and
lacks patience to manipulate others except for the most blatent ploys. Bond:
Garez Balechild From: JKatKina's Nexus Night before
Christmas
|
| | Name: Garez Balechild Meaning: "Malice." (Turkish)
Bonded to: Disenchandra Gender: Male Species: Balespawn
Hatchling Height: 2'4" at shoulder Adult Height: ? Color: Green
Personality: For a Balespawn, Garez is surprisingly gentle and
nurturing...even loving. But his is the warped affection of one who seeks to
take others under his wings and spread his influence in slow, misguiding ways.
The power he seeks is not that of brute force, but of having people so utterly
dependent upon him that they are like marionettes under his claws. Since he is
immortal, he has all the time in the world to pursue power in his way, and even
the most pure-hearted of individuals can be swayed to trust in an evil power
when they are told the right things. Similarly, he can be very seductive when
his eyes alight on a female he desires, able to court with the type of honeyed
words that can win many a heart--or at least a flight. It should not be a
surprise that his bond is not exempt from his pursuits. Abilities:
Corruption Powers. Immortality. Realm-Traveling. Sizeshifting. Telepathy.
Teleportation. Verbal Speech. Hatchling Charm: Iron Adult Charm:

| | Rahel cocked
an eyebrow at the dragon standing in front of her. "You've decided you want to
bond?" she asked, repeating what the dragon had just said. "Yes. As I just
said," Disenchandra rumbled with not a little irony in her voice.
Silly human, she thought to herself. Disenchandra was not one of
the more dangerous hydras, Rahel reflected. She mostly kept to herself and the
other hydras, trying to prove herself to the others--who laughed in her face,
more often than not--she was not really strong enough to cause trouble beyond a
little teasing of the candidates and unbonded humans--most others could take
care of themselves or had dragons who could do so for them. Rahel gave a
shrug. "I don't see why not, then. Don't cause too much trouble on the
Twisted Fate. Just because we put up with
you here doesn't mean they will." The two-headed hydra gave a snorting
laugh. "I'm not asking permission, Weyrwoman," she
sneered, trying to appear frightening, "I'm just making you aware of my plans."
"Whatever," Rahel replied diffidently. "Do you need assistance in getting to
the Twisted Fate?" If they could rid themselves of a hydra for a few
months, so much the better. She might even decide to stay there.
Disenchandra stuck her nose in the air. "I can teleport," she said
haughtily. She apparently decided the conversation was over, for she left the
room with a final flick of her dark tail. Rahel allowed herself to roll her
eyes and turned to the black dog who was lying at her feet, head resting lazily
on crossed paws. He looked back up at her with intelligent red eyes. "Keep
an eye on her and make sure she leaves, will you, Ean? If she comes back with a
bond, they can be your responsibility." Ean in his dog form woofed and
stretched before phasing out of the room through a wall, leaving Rahel
alone. |

| | "I don't like him," Rahel announced after having met
Disenchandra's new bond. The dark hydra had proudly returned to Darkling Dawn
and was trying to show off her Balespawn companion to anyone that would sit
still long enough. Ean gave a nonchalent shrug beside her. "He seemed nice
enough to me. Well, not nice--" he
corrected himself, "But judging by a lot of his siblings that I've heard of, I'd
say we got downright lucky." Garez Balechild had seemed perfectly polite and
respectful towards the Weyrleaders when he was introduced to them, but Rahel
preferred to trust her instincts, and they were shouting not to trust this
hatchling. "Disenchandra was never one of the more dangerous hydras, after
all," Ean pointed out, "And if her bond is anything like her, I don't think we
have anything to worry about." "...Maybe you're right," Rahel admitted with a
sigh. "But keep an eye on them
anyway."
