Personality: Emhedia is quiet and introverted, which is just as well, given her past. She prefers not to talk unless she has to, as people tend to find her mannerisms strange, especially the way she seems unaware of some basic facts of life on Pern, even after Impressing her green. She is quite intelligent and a huge bookworm, so she spends most of her free time among the records.
Past: Emhedia was not born on Pern; instead, she is from a world called Athanasia, and she was raised in one of the larger cities on the main continent. Though her parents own a smithery in town, she was never eager to learn the ins and outs of the craft and as she got older, she got a job in the library instead. That was where she was searched, though the dragonriders were from Darkling Dawn and not Sedona. However, she agreed to go with them and Impress a dragon. After two clutches, she had still failed to Impress and was getting curious about Pern, so she was dropped off at Sedona Weyr. Though she initially stood for Kanikath's clutch, she once again failed to Impress, and was beginning to despair until the hatching of Illianth's clutch. At last, Vanyrth had found her, and it was worth the wait.
