Personality: Never your typical ladylike young girl, Faeyl was always the rough and tumble, outdoors sort. She hates dresses, and fancy stuff, and anything girly, really. She is quite rebellious and often disobeys orders just for the sake of doing things her own way. She doesn't like being in charge, though; watching over others is just too much responsiblity for her. She prefers to be on her own anyway; her abrasive manner doesn't make her many friends, but that's alright; Faant'Sayu is enough for her.
Past: Faeyl's mother was a young Holder lass who fell in love with a trader boy and joined their group. Faeyl was born just under a turn later. She was followed by a young brother, before her father was killed in an accident on the road. The children were raised by their mother after that, but Faeyl at least took more after her free-roaming father, not wanting to be mild-mannered and proper. Faeyl and her mother continued to be at odds until Faeyl finally ran away, joining the Harper Crafthall.
She settled in well for the most part, though her dislike for paying attention in class prevented her from walking the tables as early as she could have. During her apprenticeship, she did manage to find a few fire lizard eggs, keeping two for herself, including the queen egg. She became a journeyman at twenty and shortly after was searched by riders from Sedona Weyr. Thinking that standing for a clutch sounded like a great adventure, she eagerly accepted, and wound up Impressing Faant'Sayu from the next clutch. They neither excelled nor fell behind in weyrling training, and the two still reside at Sedona.
