Personality: Calm and down-to-earth, she is a reasonable and caring person. She's friendly and very loyal, even though she gets skittish around strangers. She is artistic and enjoys books and painting as well as music.
Past: With her mother being a professor, Gianna was raised in a school of magic, and it was completely unsurprising when she proved to be very adept at the art. She was taking a final when an inadvertant spell got her trapped in the body of a red-tailed hawk. It took her mother four weeks to get her to the point where she could change herself back, but she found that she actually enjoyed being a red-tailed hawk when she wasn't stuck that way, and even now has a tendency to shift when she can't keep her emotions under control--as she found out when she failed the final. Once she was Searched, she decided summer vacation was a good time to try for a dragon.

Personality: A friendly dragon but usually a loner, Iolane just doesn't see the need to be around other people, and while she is personable when approached, the only person she willingly talks to is Gianna. She is creative and loves music and art, and is a bit of a history buff as well. She rarely takes an interest in romance and flirting tends to go straight over her head, especially when it's men flirting when she's in her human form--she finds it useful when painting or reading, but simply doesn't see humans as attractive.
