Personality: Jayis may resemble his mother a great deal physically, but in personality he is more like his older brother than either of his parents. He is a rambunctious and outgoing teenagers who enjoys meeting people and desperately wants a dragon of his own, if not one from Pern. He is pretty clever, but not bookish and tends to be an active, athletic individual. He also has a short temper, though he tries to keep it under control, and has gotten into more than one fight in the past.
Past: Jayis is one of many weyrbred children who was raised mostly by foster parents. He knows and is on good terms with both of his birth-parents, though, as they are long-time weyrmates. He was particularly close to his older brother growing up, even despite a rather large age gap, and has always wanted to bond a dragon like his parents.
However, he is still old enough to remember living somewhere other than Pern, and he thinks it would be a great adventure to bond a dragon from a different world. That's why he convinced G'kior to drop him off at Starfall Dragonry so he could bond an Asana.

Jayis's heart leaps when he touches the egg. The moment his fingers brush across its smooth surface, he knows that something significant has happened. The caretakers' nods confirm his suspicions. The egg is plain in comparison to its clutchmates, but in spite of its uninteresting colouration, he knows that this egg is the only one he could possibly have had eyes for.

It takes about two weeks for it to show any signs of life beyond its ever-present inner warmth. Midday, it finally begins to shake and Jayis, overcome with excitement, strains his eyes to see beyond the cracks and lay eyes upon his bondmate for the first time.

When he finally does and the shells fall away to reveal a deep cobalt-blue ball of hatchling dragon, Jayis knows his adventure has barely begun.

Personality: Much like Jayis, Orresh is a very energetic and athletic dragon who likes to play games and do various outdoors activities. She is a particularly skilled flier and loves to go on hours-long trips, with or without Jayis, though more often than not, the human will accompany her. She is outgoing and friendly as well, and is a rather large flirt with a tendency to tease males.
