Personality: Talkative and
outgoing, he is quite friendly but has a tendency to carry a conversation
straight over other people's comments. Indeed, he quite loves the sound of his
own voice and he hardly needs other people around to listen to him. He'll talk
anyway, and isn't bothered by the odd looks he'll get. He is energetic and
athletic, enjoying sports of all kinds, though he's not a particularly fast
runner. He enjoys music and often sneaks out to listen to Harpers, though he
never apprenticed personally.
Past: Jadorien was born in a small, out of the
way hold to a young couple. His sister was only one turn older than him, and his
younger brother and sisters followed quite quickly after him. They would have
had even more children, but after his mother nearly died delivering her last
child, they reluctantly decided five was enough. Jadorien was an outgoing child
who got along well with most of his siblings; this was fortunate, as there
weren't many other children his age in the Hold.
As he got older, Jadorien
was expected to take after his parents and tend the farm, but he preferred to
spend his time around the Hold's watchwher, befriending him before too long. He
had planned to try to bond a wher of his own after he turned sixteen, but the
arrival of searchdragons from Aneris derailed that plan. Well, dragons were
obviously even better than whers, he could hardly turn down a chance at
candidacy.
He soon Impressed a blue named Imath, and as they got older, they
discovered that the blue had a particularly strong talent for finding potential
candidates. This was great news for the outgoing pair, and soon after they
graduated, the two of them became searchriders. It was another turn or so before
they left their home Weyr for Sedona, but the newer Weyr was in desperate need
of searchriders, and well, dragonriders in general.
