Past: Myteay was
born to a pair of non-rider workers in Ista Weyr during the Interval. Though her
parents were not riders, she was still allowed to stand at the dragon clutches
once she was old enough, but she didn't Impress at her home Weyr. After failing
to bond a dragon, she was sent to a new Weyr, Sedona, which had just opened up,
hoping she would Impress a dragon from one of their clutches. It took a few
tries, but Ranelith is proof of her success.

get the best of her. Despite her speed, she's very cautious in Threadfall and
likely to let Thread past her rather than risk being hurt.
