Appearance: A tall, skinny girl, Nami looks like she never quite got over puberty and is easily mistaken for someone half her age--something she's not entirely unhappy with. Her skin is a sort of creamy brown color, lightly covered with freckles, and she has deep blue eyes with a hint of green. Her bright, red-orange hair is not so much wavy as unruly, and though she sometimes braids it, more often than not she leaves it loose to hang around the middle of her back.
Personlity: Nami makes an impression on people - whether it's her looks or her attitude, people remember her. A solid, learned person who's willing to listen and debate her points politely. Not afraid to speak her mind, Nami can figure out when to press her point. She's learned moderation and detachment, and it's only when she's truly passionate about something will she throw everything into the project at hand. She prefers logical arguements based on common sense to whimsical, fanciful notions.
Past: Born into a very large clan of wanderers, Nami had a total of nine siblings, some older than her, some younger, but they all were very close to one another. Born on Pern during an Interval, Nami's family had nothing to fear from Thread, and though they were often mistrusted by Holders, they were quite content with their life of travel and trade. Nami was particularly close to her father, who taught her his specialty in stick and fist-fighting, and she gained a reputation as a bit of a tomboy--something that was only reinforced when she Impressed the male black hatchling Thykhysth.
