Personality: Pitya is a restless, energetic girl who loves outdoor activities. She has no patience for books and learning and hates sitting still for long periods of time, which causes trouble when it comes to weyrling training. She is a hard worker, though, and tries her best to excel.
Past: Pitya's mother is a Lower Caverns worker who moved to Sedona when it was founded, when Pitya was three turns old. Before that, she got occasional visits from her father, a Journeyman Harper stationed in the nearest Hold, but after they moved away, she began to see much less of them. Due to a difficult birth, her mother did not have any more children, but she does often volunteer to care for the children of riders, so Pitya grew up with several foster siblings.
Even though neither of her parents were riders, Pitya was allowed to stand as a candidate once she turned twelve, and she was presented to Sedona's searchdragons. As a present for being accepted as a candidate, her mother gave her a fire lizard egg, which hatched into her brown, Thoreg. She was lucky enough to Impress from her first hatching, and came away with green Afrovenath.
