Personality: Reclusive and something of a hermit, R'len tends to be aggressive and short-tempered. Unsurprisingly, he doesn't get along well with most people. He is independant and dislikes taking orders from others, but he also has a good deal of ambition and likes having the best creature comforts. He is intelligent as well as extremely patient, willing to wait turns for whatever plans he has to come to fruition. Now that he's Impressed, he has a pretty good idea what he wants to do with his life. He's sure he'll make a good Wingleader someday, perhaps even a Weyrleader...
Past: Ryllen was the result of a short-lived affair between a bronzerider and a young holder lass. Before his birth, his mother was quickly married off to a neighboring Holder and Ryllen never knew anything about his father besides the fact he was a bronzerider, though he grew up knowing he'd lived with a step-father his entire life.
He was often bullied by the other kids as a young child, so he learned not to trust others and to rely on himself. He ended up spending most of his free time in the forests, exploring the wilderness on his own. As soon as he turned twelve, he became a woodcrafter apprentice, and excelled at it, becoming a Journeyman at twenty.
He was taken to Aneris Weyr on business more recently, and he was quite surprised when the dragon that had brought him there also indicated he could Impress a dragon. Since in the back of his mind he had always wanted to a "better" dragonrider than his true father, he decided to accept. Having Impressed the bronze he'd hoped for, he soon put in a transfer to Sedona Weyr and joined a wing. Though he has no particular rank as of yet, he's already put his plans in motion to win a wingleader spot.
