Personality: T'lik is a quiet, empathetic person with a mysterious air about him, one he actively tries to cultivate. He is something of a loner and tends to avoid people, but he is quite friendly and engaging if caught in a good mood. He devotes himself first to Polacanth, then to his craft, and he simply doesn't have that much time for anything else.
Past: Tarlik was the youngest son born to a couple in a small Hold specializing in lumber. His father is the Master woodcrafter overseeing the forests in the area, and it was really no surprise, given the way Tarlik idolized his father, that he wanted to follow in his footsteps and become an apprentice. He was as enthusiastic about the care and planting of trees as his father, and would have been happy continueing in the craft.
One day, though, he accompanied his father on a trip to Sedona Weyr, the first time he'd visited a Weyr, and there was a clutch on the sands. He was promptly searched, though Tarlik almost refused, not wanting to be taken away from his craft and his family. After much convincing, though, he decided to stand for the upcoming clutch. He was still caught by surprise when he Impressed his brown Polacanth, but he never regretted it.
