Appearance: Varena isn't especially outstanding. She is taller than average, and fairly thin, with tanned skin given that she loves the outdoors and will often strip down just like the men in the hotter months. Her hair is frizzy and brown, coming to her shoulders when it's not up in a ponytail; regardless, wisps of bangs always frame her face, much to her dislike. She has amber-gold eyes, and a grin that can make your insides grip up in a bad case of nerves.
Personality: Varena is generally a sedate woman, on the outside at least. She doesn't say much, but she is always thinking, always calculating, and always observing others the better to blackmail or put them in compromising positions. She's cruel not because she's ambitious (though she is that), but because she delights in making others feel bad -- both mentally and physically. She attracts a very specific brand of green-rider during flights, usually, though when Boosteth flies other greens (or golds!) their riders are generally rather terrified of the outcome. Varena is probably not lethally dangerous, but she is a political menace... who would have thought it from a middle-man brown-rider?

Personality: Boosteth may be a brown, but he's as large as some of the bronzes, and he's got the ambition to match! He is always looking for ways to improve himself and his rider, and he's quite accomplished at manipulating others. With female dragons in particular, he can put on a convincingly charismatic and charming mask when there's a dragoness he's interested in, and he is not above using dirty tricks to win a flight. Despite a very somber outer appearance, Boosteth is quite arrogant and cares nothing about anyone who is not his rider.
