Hey, C'mas! I want to chase-
"No."
C'mas answered, not even giving his blue Kjoreth time to finish.
But, she's a really pretty wh-
"No, Kjoreth,
you're not chasing."
Kjoreth continued on blithely. Her name's-
"No."
Her rider's a woman named-
"No, Kjoreth!" C'mas
practically yelled at the blue. "No names, no colors, no confessions of love,
because you are not going to chase her!"
Kjoreth stared at his rider, eyes
slowly whirling with hurt. C'mas winced at his dragon's stare as he felt a
sudden surge of guilt. The sixteen-turn-old sighed. "This is going to put me in
a bit of predicament, isn't it, Kjoreth? If, and I stress this, if I let you
chase this...whatever color dragon you're crushing on, I want to be far, far
away."
Kjoreth perked up so fast that C'mas seriously thought the dragon's
hurt stare had just been an act. The blue dragon snorted. Just because you're too scared of the opposite gender of your
species to get a mate doesn't mean I am. C'mas just glared at him,
ears going red. Then the dragon seemed to register all of what his rider had
said. So, that means you'll let me chase
her?
C'mas groaned. "I said if, Kjoreth, if!" Of course, it
didn't matter, as Kjoreth had already rushed off to talk to the white dragoness,
Mulgoith, heedless of his rider's troubles. C'mas just groaned again, and
muttered under his breath as he walked off to find the flight
boards.
