Kelduen
Finally, after two turns on
Danach, Kelduen and Hoflichth were ready to leave Cathair Utopian.
Hoflichth
shifted his pale blue wings as he glanced at his rider. So, where are we going again?
He asked the blond-haired
man.
Kelduen rolled his eyes as Lythir, his starry-colored flit, chirped on
his shoulder. "We're going back to my homeworld, Hoflichth." He told the
teal-colored blue.
Oh, yeah. The place with the weyrs, and the icky stuff
that falls from the sky?
Kelduen laughed. "Yes, Hoflichth, and it's called
Thread. We're gonna go to a few of the weyrs there, see if we like any of them
as a permanent residence, you know?"
Hoflichth snorted. You're from a very strange planet,
rider mine.
Kelduen just
grinned and shook his head as he climbed onto his dragon's back. With a giant
sweep of his wings, the blue dragon took off and disappeared.
They
reappeared in the air above Draco's Inferno Weyr. Kelduen looked down at the
Weyr. Looks like a beautiful place,
doesn't it, Hoflichth? He thought to
the blue.
Yes.
Very
beautiful.
Hoflichth said, eyeing a bright
pink dragon by the lake. Her slightly glowing hide was proof that she would soon
be rising.
Kelduen rolled his eyes. Who is she, then? He questioned his dragon. And who's her rider?
The blue dragon answered him after a short pause.
Her name is Beyanth.
Isn't that a pretty name, Kelduen?
Kelduen just laughed and rolled his eyes.
Her rider,
Hoflichth?
Oh, right. Beyanth's -The blue
dragon sighed, thinking of the female pink. Kelduen
groaned at his lovesick dragon. -rider is the-very lovely, I'm sure- lady Ruth.
Hoflichth added for good
measure. A short pause, and then, And she's got pointy ears!
Kelduen stopped, staring at his dragon for a moment.
"You always have to choose the weird ones, don't you,
Hoflichth?"
Not
true, elves are very common dragonriders.
Kelduen just smiled, shaking his head. Climbing off
the small blue, he beckoned toward the closest person and asked them where the
flight boards were.
"Just over there." The woman replied, and smiled at him.
"Good luck." She laughed as she turned away again.
Kelduen turned his head as
his face began to grow hot. Hoflichth stared at his rider
curiously. Eh?
What's the matter, Kelduen?
"Nothing, Hoflichth." He grinned.
That flight
was a failure, but it wasn't long after that when Kelduen found four kids from a
place called Earth. With his help, they all bonded dragons and he stayed friends
with them--except Sophie, which was something a little
stronger...
