| Ciqantath woke suddenly, laying in the weyr he shared
with Arajaxth. Looking around, he noticed that the weyrling brown was gone,
apparently having woken up already. Had he been human, he would have smiled. It
was good to have his bond back, however unexpected it had
been. Good,
you're awake. Come on, I'm hungry. Let's eat! His bond spoke from outside their
weyr. Ciqantath rolled his eyes. You're always hungry. He said as he got up.
Was I ever
that voracious as a weyrling? Yes. Arajaxth stated dryly. So now it's my turn to bug you
endlessly. The brown teased. Ciqantath rumbled in amusement and
followed his bond. You know, you two have the most interesting
conversations. A voice spoke from a higher ledge. The blue and brown
looked up, and saw a green dragon watching them
amusedly. Who are you? Arajaxth bristled. Kshatarieth. The green answered.
Call me
'Rieth. Where's your rider, Rieth? Ciqantath asked
suspiciously. She snorted. I don't have a 'rider'. Never did like
humans. She
said as Arajaxth glowered. I heard there was another dragon-pair here, so I thought
I'd drop by. Congratulations, you've met us. Goodbye.
Arajaxth
said icily as he left. Ciqantath glanced apologetically at Rieth and followed
his bond. Rieth rumbled in amusement. I get the feeling they don't like
me.
