"Hey!" S'var yelped in protest as his blue dragon,
Refinterth, snatched a bottle of Benden wine out of his hand. The blue dragon
tossed the bottle out of their weyr, and S'var heard the glass bottle tinkle as
it smashed on the rocky ledges beyond in dismay. "Refinterth!" He snapped at the
dragon. "What'd you do that for!?"
You didn't need it. The blue dragon replied
matter-of-factly. Nasty, mind-muddling drink, that is.
It's bad for you.
S'var growled at his
bond. "You only say that 'cause you got drunk once when I told you not to and
got a killer hangover." He pointed out.
Refinterth
rumbled deep in his throat and changed the subject. Anyway, I think it's time we left Sunstone
Weyr.
S'var raised an eyebrown curiously.
"Oh? I knew we were planning to transfer eventually, but what's the sudden rush,
Refinterth?"
Well, there's
a gold named Lineath rising at Draco's Inferno Weyr...He began, but
was interrupted by S'var.
"A gold? You aren't
hoping to enter a gold's flight, are you, Refinterth? How would you be able to
catch her?" S'var pointed out skeptically.
Refinterth huffed cockily. I could
catch her! Just because I'm a blue, it doesn't mean I can't outfly a brown or
bronze! Besides, Lineath is allowing blues and more medium-sized dragons in her
flight. It can't be too hard.
S'var snorted his opinion of that. Refinterth ignored him.
Her rider is supposed to be very pretty as
well. He hinted.
Can't we go take a look?
S'var sighed and rolled his eyes. "Alright then, fine. But first,
let me get something else to drink." S'var said with a glare at his
dragon.
