Bomajar shifted nervously as he stood behind the crowd of candidates. He'd
already been passed over for one clutch, he hoped it wouldn't happen again. But
then, it was the dragons' choice that mattered.
With a loud crack, three eggs
burst open at once, and a bronze, blue, and green all spilled onto the sands.
Bomajar watched the bronze hopefully, but after it had already chosen its rider,
he turned towards the blue. But it, too, had already decided its rider.
His
anxiety built as a large egg shook and the cracks riddling it widened. Finally,
as the queen pushed the male candidates away from the egg, a dainty queen dragon
emerged. Bomajar smiled, watching as the gold hatchling chose her bond. Now if
only one of those eggs held a dragon for him...
His wish was answered. One of
the larger queen's eggs rocked and wriggled, finally hatching into a bright blue
dragon. He squawked as one of his wings got caught underneath another egg
somehow. Bomajar smiled as he strode over to free the blue hatchling. "Delth,
you can't start out like this...Pick up your wing, and I'll push this egg out of
your way. Okay?" He asked the dragon-his dragon.
Thank you B'jar, thank you so much! I didn't realize it took two
to hatch...
B'jar laughed as he and Delth joined the other newly
Impressed riders
proudly.
